There is yet another release of the Universal Monster series of movies. This time they are marketed as The Legacy Collection again. The reason I am posting it here is because this time they have added A & C meet films Frankenstein, Mummy, and The Invisible Man to the respective legacy collections. Not that anybody here would need to get these, but it is nice to see these movies included.

I don’t see it anywhere online. Is it in Blue Ray format? It may be worth it to get those A&C films in Blue Ray. Depends on price…

It is NOT in Blu Ray and that seems to be the big complaint from commenters on line. Besides adding the A&C films the only other real change looks to be that there are no longer any two sided discs. They are available on Amazon. Release date was 9/2. Here is a link to the Frankenstein. From there you can easily find the others. As I have the original Legacy’s and all the A&C there isn’t enough of an incentive for me to buy these.

I think I’ll wait for the Blue Ray version. I already own all of those films on DVD. Including the non-A&C monster films.

Most newer Blu Ray players will “upscale” DVDs to where the picture is quite a reasonable facsimile of a Blu Ray’s output. I have two of the two disc collections of Bud & Lou’s on DVD which process remarkably well; it’s like watching the classic Abbott and Costello films when they air on TCM. Right now I’m watching Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein on DVD while I also have it on my DVR recorded on September 14, 2016. I purposely switched back and forth to prove it to myself and I could not fault the DVD version in any way. Just my five cents.
